Local delivery service
- Oswestry & Llanfechain (postcodes beginning SY10 SY11 SY22) - Fridays
- Newtown & Montgomery (postcodes beginning SY15 SY16) - Thursdays
- Shrewsbury (postcodes beginning SY1 SY2 SY3 SY4 SY5) - Wednesdays
Your order is prepared on the same day it is delivered using produce fresh in that day. We deliver between 12 noon and 5pm. Delivery charge:
If you are not going to be there when we call you must tell us where to leave your order, such as leave in porch or leave with a neighbour. Please do this by adding a comment when you checkout your order. If you forget please email rachael@derwenfarmshop.co.uk.
The minimum order value including the delivery charge is £35.
We will send a reminder message to your mobile phone around 8am on your delivery day if you told us your mobile number when you registered.
Collect from the shop
You can place an order online and collect from the shop on Friday or Saturday. This service is free and gives you the opportunity to order/reserve something special like fresh fish caught by English day boats fom Fish in a Box or a Bryn Derw free range chicken.
Please note that payment is still taken through the website and you must complete the checkout process for us to receive your order.
Farm Shop Hampers
Our hampers can be delivered by ParcelForce to all addresses in Wales, England and Scotland. Please select "Farm Shop Hamper delivery" when you buy one of our hampers and don't live in one of our local delivery areas. Delivery charge:
How to place your order
First fill your basket
- Browse through the "Buy Online" menu on the left of the screen or use the search box at the top to find what you want. Adjust the quantity and select the weight you require. Click on "add to basket".
- At anytime you can go to the basket page to change quantities or remove items. The basket page will also show any discounts that will be applied to your order.
Now book your delivery
- To book a delivery you will first need to register or login. This is so we only offer you the delivery days available to customers living in your area.
- Go to the delivery page.
- Now book the delivery or collection you want by clicking on the link displaying the day and time.
Lastly Checkout
- Go to the checkout page
- If you have not booked your delivery you will be directed to the delivery page
- Enter your card details.
- Enter the billing address of your card if it is different to the shipping address of your order.
- In the comments box tell us where to leave your order if you are not going to be in
- Any other special instructions you have for us should also be entered in the comments box
- Click on the 'place order' button
The care we take with your card details
- The details of your payment card are stored with Sage Pay, our payment service provider, when you place your order. Protx is fully approved to highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). In other words you can be confident that your card details are in the safest of hands.
- Once your order has been prepared we instruct Sage Pay to take the payment from your card.
- Your payment card details are never seen or stored by us at any time.

Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode
(3D Secure)
Derwen Farm Shop supports 3D Secure, an initiative by Visa and MasterCard to protect your card details when shopping online. By asking you for a password Visa, MasterCard and the card issuing Bank can be sure the person shopping with your card is really you.
How it works
- At the checkout enter your card details as usual and then click 'place order'.
- A screen from your Bank will appear asking you to enter your password.
- Your personal message tells you it is your Bank asking for your password.
- Enter your password and click 'submit’
- Your identity is confirmed by your Bank and your order is placed
If you are not already registered with a 3D Secure scheme a link is provided where you can register immediately.
Alternatively you can go to the website of the Bank that issued your card and register there.
If you don't want to register with the 3D Secure scheme you can still place an order by clicking the 'cancel' link.
If your issuing Bank does not participate in the 3D Secure scheme your order will be placed without the 'password' screen appearing.
